Airmen Group X01/2022) Candidates born between 16 January 2001 and 29 Decembermarks and 50% marks aggregate in English. Or 3 years diploma/polytechnic Engineering in any discipline from a recognized institute/university. 10 2/Intermediate passed in any stream from any recognized
Airmen Group Y2004 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply (from Batch 01/2022)Board/University with a minimum of 50% marks and having 50% aggregate in English subject.


Selection Procedure for Group X and Y 2022:

The selection process for Air Force Group X and Y consists of three stages mainly which are as follows:

Written exam

  • Physical Fitness Test
  • Adaptability Test-1
  • Adaptability Test-2
  • Medical Test

Firstly, the candidates need to crack the written exam. The candidates qualified in a written test called the physical fitness test.

  • The physical fitness test is qualifying in nature.
  • The candidates who qualified in PFT called for Adaptability test-1.
  • The Adaptability test-1 is an MCQ-type written test. The candidates qualified in the Adaptability test-1 called for Adaptability-2.
  • In this test, candidates need to adjust the military rules and conditions.
  • After this, the candidates called for a medical test. The medical test is done as per Air Force standards.
  • After the medical test, the final merit list is released, and then candidates are finally selected as Airmen in Indian Air Force.
